My name is Irene Heredia, I own & manage both our settings. I’m qualified in Primary Teaching, Early Childhood Care and Education and Special Needs and started working in after school activities with children when I was in Secondary School.
It has always been my passion to work with children and have been lucky to gain great experience working as a Primary Teacher and Early Childhood Educator. I moved to Ireland in 2012 and worked in childcare facilities and schools with children of different ages. Special Needs has been an important part of my career along the way.
I opened the first setting in Glounthaune in 2018 and Midleton in 2024. In Generation Education we offer a wide range of services for children of different ages: Preschool, After-school and sessional Camps.
Our aim is to bring in new methodologies and ways of learning while introducing a second language – Spanish-, in the early years. We are a multi-denominational, co-educational setting where all children and families are welcome and where the main goal is to educate and guide the children through their development, considering their individual needs and characteristics, to reach their full potential and independence to become better citizens of our society.

Staff
Both our schools count with an incredible team of staff who share that same passion for education and childcare.
The staff who are part of the management team have great experience working in the settings as educators and share the same love and enthusiasm for running the schools.
Our Room Leaders and Early Years Educators are fully qualified in Primary Teaching and/or Early Childhood Care and Education.
All of our staff are Garda Vetted and First Aid trained.
We are all highly passionate about working with children and have great enthusiasm for teaching and guiding our little ones through their growth and development.
Our curriculum is carefully designed by our staff team thinking of the children, their families and their needs. All our activities are flexible and open to changes to suit the requirements and individualities of each group of children.

Our Preschool is a nurturing environment where children begin their educational journey, learning through play, hands-on activities, and innovative methods, with an emphasis on physical, mental, emotional, and social development, including the introduction of Spanish as a second language.
Afterschool
Our afterschool program offers a vibrant and engaging environment where children can continue their development through diverse activities, homework support, and recreational opportunities, all designed to complement their school day learning and promote their overall well-being.
